REENGINEERED MODEL 850 AIR-OPERATED TRANSPORTER IS NOW LIGHTER
AND MOVES HEAVY LOADS WITH LESS AIR CONSUMPTION
Vibro Industries is pleased to announce the introduction of the "BRUTE" 850
Air-Operated Transporter. The Brute 850 has been reengineered
from Vibro's original Model 850 Transporter and the unit now
provides four distinct user benefits. First, the Brute 850 now
has a smaller profile and is lighter in weight (46.5 lbs./ 21
kg) when compared to previous models. Plus, it can now move a
combined capacity of more than 500 pounds of load and 100 pounds
of tray weight with less air pressure consumption (3.4 +/- 0.1
ACFM @ 40 PSI as certified by Butler Engineering & Contracting,
Inc. Test Laboratory of Emmaus, PA**). This means you can mount
multiple trays to a single unit, replacing four conventional
belt conveyors. Best of all, the Brute 850 costs no more than
previous models.
Brute 850 Air-Operated Transporter is lightweight, easily adaptable
to existing production lines, and can transport a wide range of
materials quietly and efficiently, without the downtime typically
required for clean-up, maintenance and repair attributed to ordinary
conveyers. Capable of moving more than 500 pounds at speeds from
15 to 40 ft/min, the Brute 850 is an excellent choice for removing
scrap from beneath machine tools, materials handling operations,
pharmaceutical or other processing applications. Plus, it is an
excellent alternative to conventional conveying systems because
of its low-profile design which enables installation in cramped
areas.
The concept behind the Brute 850 Air-Operated Transporter is a
pneumatic cylinder that operates on air pressure to move the product-tray
back and forth, causing the material to steadily advance. Material
moves forward on the slow forward stroke, but remains stationary
during the rapid return stroke — ensuring a constant progression.
This provides a safe, reliable and effective means of product handling.
Options for the Brute 850 include: motion sensors for automatic
shutoff; cover guards for harsh environments, quick-release clamps
for fast tray removal; and adjustable bearing supports for trays.
Vibro Industries, of Port Royal, PA, manufactures a premium line
of Air-Operated Transporters — the only transporter line
that is 100% air operated and 100% American made. Leroy Johnson,
president, introduced the first Vibro Air-Operated Transporter
in 1985, following 12 years of extensive experimentation and rigorous
testing. Since that time, Vibro Air-Operated Transporters continue
to perform successfully a variety of conveying applications in
manufacturing operations worldwide.
** Certification testing was performed with equipment that complies
with ASME Std. MFC-18M (2001).
